Is there any reason why the Lifesave Block mechanic would not trigger when attacked from the side (not from behind)? This situation came up in a multiplayer match -- the opponent did a move/attack from the side and the Lifesave Block failed to trigger.
It triggers only when the unmodified damage would kill you. Did he have some kind of buff or were you vulnerable?
