What are the chances of push the button/pull the trigger downgrading to a worse quality card?

    Pretty low.

I've never been much of a fan of guns in my swords and sorcery games, but I think I can make an exception for laser weapons. I am a bit curious as to what classes are going to get what types though, since picking up a laser weapon seems fairly universal.

Warriors get melee attacks, priests get some melee attacks, wizards get magic attacks, and monsters get projectile attacks.

How does the Laser Malfunction mechanic work with the Rocket Boots? If you roll 2, you'd get to move 5 and draw a malfunction card you must play, in what order does the moving, drawing and playing happen? It'd be interesting if you'd be able to get a malfunction and move next to a clump of enemies to take advantage of the malfunction.

And I'm looking forward to the blog about Radiation cards! I'm guessing their theme is random handicap and buff attachments.

  9. Looks super cool, can't wait for to play with these new cards.

And I'm interested to see how these new cards will interact with the old ones in MP..

If battlefield training were made somehow an exception to mandatory action cards, bad batteries would be like grenades. Imagine how cool would it be.

Note that you see the malfunction before you move, but you play it next turn.

I am afraid that increasing importance of luck (and quite severe one, if presented cards are any indication) will slightly cripple game's experience to many players, especially in MP.

Wait. Are you trying to say people in MP get upset when luck doesn't go their way??? I don't see it.

I don't have to use a "lazer" if I don't want to right?
Not gonna penalize me for "fearing" the "unknown" or for "abusing" the "use" of "quotation marks"?

Yes and yes, but not as far as you know, and certainly not by us.
The Robot Overlords now deal with such infractions.

So what you are saying is Cardotron 2000 is not above pettiness and has a general lack of the concept of "fairness"... Darn we have a long history, might need to start a new profile :(

Yep. Box O' Melvin, but with a better memory. Cardotron 3000 even more so.

Something tells me that the new MP Cardotron is going to be a nightmare to deal with...and he probably won't have to deal with malfunctions either.

Cardo3k has a lot of laser cards, which should make it pretty easy to deal with.

Eh, we've all beaten Cardotron, even with suboptimal decks.

    I'm not super worried.
