1. Go to Inn. 2. Add a bunch of new characters to your party, removing them as you add them to make room for the next. They will add to the party as unequipped. 3. Go to a shop. They will now each have one item, the lame common weapon/staff/divine item they start with. Sell it for a gold. 4. Repeat until you have enough gold to buy a chest to get good items, buy that item you can't afford, etc. It's a pretty lame exploit, because it takes a while to do it, but it's still probably faster than all the legitimate ways to make gold. On a related note: is there any way to permanently delete characters from your account? I've got like 50 extra dwarf warriors lying around.
Quick suggestion: Add a simple 1 gold cost to recruiting a character and this becomes a moot point. Nice catch, by the way.
2 gp for the dwarf fighter, actually, but yeah, that solution works. (I might make it "recruiting a character beyond the 3rd" so you don't have to pay to get your first wizard and priest.) Or make the items that come with a free character have a value of 0.
Damn it, I was hoping it would take you a few days to find this exploit. I'm currently adding the feature where buying additional characters costs gold.
