Interception - looking out for a new name! By BVD About time to liven up this forum with another map Story: Scouting out of the den is always dangerous, but you have to go out to scavenge loot once in a while. Today you have come across what looks like a small fortress. Judging by the fact that gold is scattered even at the entrance you think that you may have come across the motherload. You observe the fortress and finally motion your troops to go, as you do so you hear a roar and the flapping of wings overhead and an Alabaster Dragon comes crashing down to the ground, snow scattered everywhere. Raising it's head it roars and spits icy cold flames everywhere, engage the enemy! Spoiler: Screenshot Epilogue: And so, the great Alabaster Dragon, Blizkenripper, a dragon hated even by other dragons was defeated by... MONKEYS, of all creatures, MONKEYS!!! Spoiler: Tips Try to pickpocketing whenever possible - this gives you lots of powerful cards. The attacks are usually used up by the point that you get round to pickpocketing so dont count on it. The blocks are very useful because not only it means that you dont take 17 dmg to your 20 HP character but the dragon also cant block your attacks. The armor is very good because it insures that you dont get frozen in place, and the dragon is frozen so that he stays in place, with you constantly hitting him from the back. Please comment on any ideas for improvement. Thanks!
I had a ton of fun with this. I've played it four times, and won twice, which was a nice humble pie experience. I wouldn't change a thing, apart from making it a little more obvious where the open/difficult terrain spots are in some parts. It's tricky, but that special, rare moment when you steal an Obliterating Hack is worth all the tricky in the world. I think it's a fun lesson in the art of flanking a 2x2 boss that was totally new to me, so that was great.
well, BVD, you also do make us think, don't you? I'll admit, lots of fun this was! couldn't beat it with v11, but v21 gave me lots of good matches, with equal wins and losses. My wins were pretty close, too!
Thanks for the feedback! So if I make the open and blocked terrain in the trees more obvious, I would like to know which of the four versions you guys like the most.
