Ideas for new multiplayer maps

The current multiplayer maps have either one or four victory squares dead center. (Edit: whoa, nevermind, there are others. But still, four squares anyway.) I haven't played all single-player maps yet for inspiration, but I started thinking about a three-square variant, like a line of three up against a wall. That could be fun--except the solid wall behind you makes it more defensible, so it's biased toward a "get there first and resist damage" strategy.

Now, the current maps often have themes for the victory squares, like being on a bridge. So how about this: imagine a mystical altar or urn or something, and the victory squares are staggered around it like this:
    Code:
    BBBBBBB
    OOOVOOO
    OOVDVOO
    OOOOOOO
B for blocked, D for difficult, O for open, V for victory. Thus, you're trying to hold the space around the altar, facing the "congregation." With the staggered setup, one person can get a solid wall, but it's a mixed deal: either it's easily defensible (easy blocks, less use of push attacks), or it's truly punishing as your opponent gets the other two squares.

    Other thoughts?

It might be interesting to see opposing victory squares. The starting squares for your opponents 3 characters are the squares you must occupy and your starting squares need to be occupied by your opponent. Not only would you have to make it all the way across the map, but you would have to do so through your opponent.
