And I dropped my sixth Relic Of St. Darqar. My first thought was "yet another one of these?" But it's only a level 4 item, lower level items are going to be less powerful. That's how the whole level system works, mostly. Which got me thinking, what's the lowest level item regularly used in competitive MP? Plenty of level 6 items see regular use (Raging Battler, The Strongarm, etc), but what's something useful that's lower than that? Off the top of my head, all the tokenless items I use in MP are level 6 and up.
Vampire's Blade, level 2 Amazingly enough, I actually have a Relic Of St. Darqar, level 4, on the priest in my 2 Dwarf Warriors + 1 Human Priest build. I feel it's the best tokenless Divine item choice for her considering the rest the build.
Yeah that's the one I immediately thought of Jarmo! I don't think there's much else though, mostly because below level 6 the items generally can't have as favorable a combination of card quality as they can at level 6, making most of them quite unplayable because they're full of so much paper.
I suspect some people are. I think Staff Of The Misanthrope could work well, given the right maps, an agile mage, and a buffing priest. Not something to try this month, though. Trembling Staff, level 3, was a standard in 3DC before the nerf. Is it still used at all?
