I've seen my characters pass the roll, move, and take damage. I've seen the computer characters pass rolls, move, and take no damage. How is this thing supposed to be working?

Dodge is a movement card, not a block - so as long as the dodge doesn't take you ouf range for the attack -it's just a free move reaction.

Facing and direction is pretty important too. You always dodge directly behind your current facing, so you can't move out of range if there is a wall or an opponent at your back, and you'll stop after one space if you move into difficult terrain or a threatened square (threatened: adjacent to a hostile figure).

IIRC though, you can move through friendly figures as long as they aren't directly on the destination square. Can anybody confirm or deny?

Oh, that I am. I always seem to get the two confused.
