Hero's Quest By BVD Your party has been travelling from village to village for the past few years, searching for adventure. You have become tired of constant PvP battles and want something new in the open world. One day while travelling between the snowy mountains of Astial you stop in a snow-covered town called Jeheart, there you stumble into a bar and order a drink. You sit, sipping at your drink, surveying the crown in the crowd you decide that there is a somewhat odd man in a wizard cloak sitting next to a window. With an ale in hand, he didnt look strange, but he gave off a strange aura. You motion the bartender over, to ask him of the strange man, the bartender replys that he has never seen this person and that they just stopped here today. You motion your team to follow you and approach the wizard. Asking him what had brought him to a place like this. He explains that he is travelling south to reach a city that you have never heard of, to get some mercenaries for a job. You ask him, what job is needed of these mercenaries if this man is travelling so far. He explains that his city has been robbed by a rogue mage who has stolen a precious artefact and will soon use it for evil against the city. You ask if you could possibly try your hands at this job, with a bit off hesitation he explains that this job would be very difficult. You say that you want to try your hand at this no-matter how difficult it may be, he says that he can teleport all of you straight into the mage's study, where it is believed that the artefact is hidden. You prepare to launch straight into action, "oh, and one last thing" the wizard adds once you claim the artefact you must stand back into the teleportation portal, that will teleport you into my lab. There you must await me, I will be there before sunset. He begins wispering a spell and you see runes start appearing around you... then suddenly the loud and busy bar is replaced by a dark and lit with a purple light, study, TO ARMS! You charge for the portal, touch it and re-appear in a lab, after awaiting the wizard for a few hours he runs through the door, you exclaims "You have succeeded!?!?" and "Congratulations!" be beams at you and takes the artefact from your arms - a sword with ancient runes engraved on it. He asks for you to follow him, apon exiting, an enormous crowd begins cheering your names! There is no doubt that you will be rewarded. AN: This map is best played PvP - HQR is singleplayer, and HQ1R is PvP. Would love some feedback! PS: Dont have time to take a picture, will do soon.
It seems that both scenarios are the same - did you import the wrong board or something in the second scenario? Anyway, I tried the singleplayer version. I like the fact that movement around the board is limited by the Lightning Idol, and that one has to stay behind the blocking terrain; I think the terrain is perfect. However, I found the scenario quite easy - the Lightning Idol dies in two rounds with a single square of Lava Terrain under it, meaning that the party can move anywhere and easily slay the remaining enemies.
There is not much I can do about the Idol, and lava terrain issue. One scenario is supposed to be single-player, the other for PvP
Oh, I see - one player controls the Zombies, Blood Priest etc. For some reason, I thought of two multiplayer parties fighting when you mentioned PVP... sorry about that. Making the Idol respawn at the start of each round might be a potential solution to this issue. However, the problem is the lack of tags available to achieve this. I guess either all other groups be made minion groups and use the tag respawnFilterNonMinion, or make the Idol a minion group and remove the minion Zombie group and use respawnFilterMinion - neither of which are particularly desirable. What you really need in this situation is respawn tags for each group: respawnFilterGroup1, repawnFilterGroup2 etc. which could then be used with respawnFilterPlayer1...
Yes, I have really wanted new tags for a while now (ever since I started using them) I even made a thread http://forums.cardhunter.com/threads/custom-scenario-tags.8150/
