Heal versus Twin Heals

Heal: Silver card, Heal 4, range 8, may self target.

Twin Heals: Bronze card, Heals 2 for 4, range 6, may self target.

Heal may need a buff to make it worthy of that Silver quality, maybe healing 5 or 6?

This has been mentioned; Twin Heals wasn't supposed to get as big a buff as it did and we'll be reining it in a bit in the next update.

Why not just change the rarities and switch the cards on items they appear on?

This actually seems like a rather interesting idea. A lot of epics and legendaries would become a lot more useful (thanks, old twin heal), and the items with heal would become more powerful as well, considering heal is a rather lackluster card for its value.

For reference, here are the simple heal spells:

Healing Rays - emerald, heal 2x6=12, range 8, no self-target
Greater Heal - gold, heal 8, range 8
    Heal - silver, heal 4, range 8
Twin Heals - bronze, heal 2x4=8, range 8
Limited Heal - bronze, heal 4, range 3
Light Heal - bronze, heal 3, range 6
Triple Heals - bronze, heal 3x3=9, range 6

As tempting as it is to just swap rarity/items for Heal and Twin Heals, it would be problematic to drop Heal straight to bronze when it's strictly better than Limited Heal and Light Heal. However, it's still problematic that the silver tier sits much closer to bronze quality than to gold. Also, Triple Heals is strictly better (three times better, actually) than Light Heal or Limited Heal.

    Here's another possibility:
    Heal - silver, heal 6, range 6 (+2, -2)
    Twin Heals - silver, heal 2x4=8, range 8 (0, 0, quality bump)
    Limited Heal - bronze, heal 5, range 3 (+1, 0)
    Light Heal - bronze, heal 3, range 6 (0, 0)
    Triple Heals - bronze, heal 3x3=9, range 3 (0, -3)

On all items, replace Twin Heals with Light Heal or Limited Heal. On some items, replace Heal with Twin Heals.

Yes, but this (and as I have said in other post, we may or not agree with it) goes in accordance with the rare cards buff, so in this new framework of rare cards being better than commons and uncommons, it's logic that Triple Heals is better than Limited Heal and Light Heal. The problem with Twin Heals is that is strictly better than a silver quality card. Glad BM have put an eye on this.

To clarify our position, the goal isn't to make rares strictly better. The goal is to make rares cooler, and that it's generally okay if a few rares end up being strictly better than some non-rares.

just remove the card quality from the game it adds nothing and just makes people say stuff like "zomg barge same rarity at nimble strike fix ploz". if no dev can think of a good reason to keep this useless piece of flavour that does nothing but cause confusion then it should be removed without hesitation.

It's used to determine the item levels. There are only that many cards - not too difficult to divide them into paper/bronze/... but without these qualities setting a level for every item would take long.

keep the quality but keep it all behind the scenes. we don't need to see it :p i can give an argument for 100's of cards saying they need to be buffed/nerfed based on how it compares to other cards of the same quality but if it simply wasn't there i wouldnt even notice it.

what i'm saying is if they removed the card quality people would view an item as a whole instead of weighing its individual pieces against another individual piece that happens to be the same quality :p just keep it all behind the scenes everyone would be better off for it, we already have item rarity we don't need rarity-ception.
