Sometimes when I'm browsing these forums, I'll suddenly find that I'm logged out for no apparent reason. When logging in I definitely always choose the 'stay logged in' option, and it does keep me logged in overnight and so on. But sometimes when I'm just browsing the forums I'll be logged in at one moment and then suddenly logged out the next. One weird feature of this phenomenon is that if I just don't use the forum for awhile when logged out in this way, I usually find that I'm logged in again when I come back without me having to do anything. I don't know why this logging out thing happens. Could it have something to do with the fact that I tend to use lots of forum tabs at once while browsing the forum? Maybe the server thinks I'm flooding it with requests or something. I don't know. But it's mildly annoying that I'm often logged out when I don't want to be, so I figure I might as well say something about it in case it helps the problem get fixed.
Me too, using chrome latest. After I log in browser is set to https:// and if I accidentally press home (all the !@#$ time) I get taken to the home page. Then on re-entering the forums it seems my login was cleared. Also embedded videos are not showing. Probably because I am browsing forum via https:// Not sure if https:// is because of a chrome setting or a forum setting
I'm not sure why going to the home page would lose your login information. For the missing embedded videos, are you seeing the shield on the right side of the address bar in chrome? You can click that to enable those videos while browsing in https.
Thanks, that fixed it. Also I found out what the problem was. I had the forum bookmarked as http://www.cardhunter.com/forum. After I updated my bookmark http://forums.cardhunter.com and logged in again, all seems OK now
That doesnt fix it for me unfortunately. It's just as random as before. Once thing I know I can reproduce for sure: Click Home to go to the Card Hunter home page, then click Forum on that page, it will log me out. If I simply use the back button, I stayed.
That happens to me too. And poking at it a bit, I see that the link from the home page is HTTP, not HTTPS.
It's true about the http vs. https thing. When I remove the https:// from any of the forum links, it logs me out. The link on the homepage doesn't have https in the first place, so that's probably how it happens most of the time. [edit] Actually, I don't think it's so simple. I seem to be logged in now in such a way that I can use either https or http... maybe there is separate logged in status for both, or something like that?
