i'm not sure if i missed a mechanic here, but i'm pretty sure my priest should have been moved 2 tiles instead of one. my human mage used Force Blast on my priest. the priest was standing on the victory tile next to the mage.
The squares adjacent to enemy models force your characters to Stop, in the same manner as difficult terrain. I believe this includes all movement coming from Push and Slide effects unless they also have the Free Move keyword. Hope that helps.
hm, guess that is a little counter-intuitive then. Force Blast uses Slide Back 2, not Slide 2. Being an offensive ability, i did not think it was limited by movement rules. Would Encumber have stopped movement through it as well? And what if i targeted an encumbered enemy, or an enemy which is next to one of my guys?
I'll have a go at answering but I might get this wrong. My internet connection is a little flaky so unfortunately I can't currently log in and check. I think movement effects coming from offensive cards are limited just like any other card. The "Back" in "Slide Back" simply tells you that the direction is fixed, you don't get to choose it. Pushes, and I think Slides but I could be mistaken, are exempt from buffs and debuffs. So encumber would have no effect on Force Blast. 1) Encumber would not have any effect and the target would be moved 2 spaces. 2) If the enemy's first move is into a square adjacent to one of your characters, then it would have to Stop. So the net effect would be Slide Back 1. That is my understanding at least, if someone could confirm this or tell me I'm wrong I'd be grateful!
thanks for the detailed answer. when I get the opportunity i will try ingame how the zone of control rules work when targeting enemy characters that would be moved into a tile adjacent to my/other enemy characters doesn't look like i can edit the thread title, would add an [resolved] before it.
