Are they worth buying? if yes then should i? - i am thinking of buying some but i dont know which ones! - any suggestions? Edit: For anyone who dont know what Foil Figures are: they are shiny figures which you can unlock for twice the amount of pizza a normal figure costs - pizza you can win or buy using dollars.
Void, - the priests are not supposed to ever have helmets (to make them clearly different from warriors) - Blue Manchu knows one elf priest figure does have a helmet - the fact that the one elf priest has a helmet is an error, it was not supposed to be there - the helmet was put there by the artist, it is not some computer-made glitch, but the artist should not have drawn the helmet on the priest - they will remove the helmet at some point. Do you understand?
Also, if you mean this elf priest figure: That's a cloth headband, not a helmet. It looks like soft fabric with wrinkles to me, not like hard metal. If you look at the figure from behind in-game, there is clearly just one strip of cloth. I admit it's not as clear from the front.
<------ Do want this avatar. Will pay $. More seriously, the foils are swell. I think I have nearly all the figures, but only because CH is a soft spot with me. I believe in supporting great indie games so I have. But the truth is, I think there are not a lot of opportunities to use all your figures. If the appearance of your guys could be changed on the fly anywhere, rather than just at Cuthbert's, I think you'd get more mileage: much the way mmo's let ego-maniacs auto-cycle wardrobe changes. That's a serious damn overhaul though. One way it might be implemented is to expand on the scrolling table-top interface, essentially allowing you to scroll over to the costume switcher. Sadly, this would probably still not allow you to change clothes mid-game. Bottom line: Figures are Great, but most of them will stay buried in your collection for your eyes only. Edit: Final food for thought, if you could specify a range of figures at cuthberts and randomly cycle that range at interval during play, you might have something workable...still probably significant work that would only detract from work on the expansion.
Yes well now look at this "Helmet" i dont think that has ANY metal or even cloth its more like skin? i dont know where i got that idea from but it kinda looks like skin - i know about it because its one of my favourites
That's a good point that the game does have non-metal helmets. It doesn't have cloth helmets or headbands or scarves, though. On the toolbar above the post there is is an "Image" button (a small picture of a landscape, first one right from the smiley face). Press the button and paste the URL of the image you want in the pop-up which opens. If you mean that where can one get such images, the wiki has the card pictures, you can link them from there. The figure images can be found from addresses like these Code: http://game.cardhunter.com/assets/large_portraits/ElfPriestF01A.png You can probably guess how to change the address to get the different images (note that not all variations exist). F = Female, M = Male, A/B/C = different colours of the same image.
Hey BVD, if you have the last post in a thread it's customary to edit it rather than make tons of posts in a row. Cheers.
