I've noticed that on a few items, the quality and rarity listed doesn't seem to match up against other items of similar design/purpose. Just as an example, I'm currently looking at the items Healer's Mail and Strong Healer's Mail. Putting aside the fact that the Mail and Hardy Mail card rankings make little practical sense (The better card is higher quality, but more common, for some reason), these two divine armor pieces seem like they're designed backward. The Strong Healer's Mail is a level 8 uncommon, making it 20 gold more expensive to my level 11 characters than the Healer's Mail, which is a level 10 common. But if you look at the cards on each item, the cheaper item clearly has the better set of cards, nixing the Mail card from the Strong Healer's Mail for a Hardy Mail card. I don't know if this was an accident during coding, or if it's just a mistake due to the way the quality/rarity system works, but it's just one example of how the items aren't being properly sorted in the system.
huh ? I agree that the cheaper item has a slightly better set of cards BUT note that it costs 1 talent pip to use. In any case, since everything is still beta (knee jerk reactions aside)...I'd expect stuff to change when devs go thru their passes again.
The talent cost is the key. Remember that you have a limited number of talents to use: picking an item without talent cost (even with some slightly inferior cards) could enhance other slots for better items.
