[Feedback] Pizza is boring.

So I bought some Pizza and I can honestly say, nothing interests me. I bought couple of figures and starter packs, club membership and I still have over 1000 left!

I really love the game, but spending money to make the game easier doesn't really appeal to me. I kinda regret decision on buying Club membership which is rather pricey by the way, because it just made the game easier and less exciting with all that extra gear.

I would definitely like more customization! I really enjoy the chest system, so maybe some chests for customization items (figures for the time being).

So in conclusion I think Microtransaction aspect really needs developing because I kinda had to force myself to spend the money(which is quite rare for me, I love spending money) even though I really love the game.

P.S. club membership is pretty boring as well.

    Do you have some suggestions?

Did you buy the premium adventures or figures? Did you find them more worth your time? What'd you want to get for your pizza? Me I'm not a super fan of the club either.

    Edit: Joe wins.

Umm, yes I bought adventures as well, I found them quite interesting and fun but they didn't really stand out too much to make me buy pizza directly for them. I'm not really up for buying content as well.

Regarding the suggestions Dota2 and Path of exile handle things, those are the games I've spend most of my money on, so basically utility and cosmetic stuff rather than plain shortcuts, especially since Card Hunter feels focused on the loot having those shortcuts feels like you're missing out and hurting your own experience.

EDIT: oh I think once editor fully launches some interesting features like monster skins and so on would be really appealing.

Suggestions would be awesome. Go wild with them and list them out! This is what beta is for so write down your "dream list" of things that would get you psyched to use your pizza. Who knows what makes it through, but that's the beauty of Beta :)

You sure bought a lot of pizza! I sprung for $5 worth which I've spent on treasure hunts, and I guess I'll spend $5-10 more to get them all. I'm not sure I understand why you don't like these - they are good content and while you do get an epic item, the items from adventures are not enough to spoil the challenge of the game. For me, the treasure hunts are the only thing I would likely pay for (I would also pay for extra content without the epic items).

To be honest, the ideal payment model for me for this game would be to put out a demo and charge me $20 for the game, which I would have forked out instantly - it's a great game. For people like me, I think content is the key way to get us to pay for it using an FTP model.

There are a LOT more figures (skins) in the works...

I just wanted to throw out there, that maybe on top of different skins, we could be allowed to change the colors within the skins, too? Like, give my wizard a blue robe with an orange hat or whatever...

Maybe special "colorable" figures that come at a slightly higher cost in pizza? I already cringe at seeing what garish combinations some might come up with, though. :)

I like the concept of the Card Hunter Club as a clever way of letting me "subscribe" to the game. I'm lousy at "deck-building" (regardless of how it is presented) so I don't know that I benefit from an extra item each chest to further confuse  and confound  me.

Anyway, with over 1,000 slices of pizza, you [OP] are going to be set for a while! Breakfast pizza, anyone?

So far Pizza seems fine overall, but I'm still very new to the game. I rarely buy anything cosmetic but I know many do. My suggestions are more in line with getting specific and less RNG. So here's a few I'll throw out there.

    1. Purchase a "Bypass Level" which would allow you to bypass campaign levels giving you problems. You would recieve no loot or XP, but the campaign could continue.
    2. Purchase specific item pieces (Divine Item, Arcane, Robe, etc) with more narrow level range but with RNG similar to how the chests are currently implemented.
    3. Purchase treasure map re-rolls on the guaranteed item before embarking.
    4. Purchase item swap sets (or whole party sets)- one click to re-equip your character/party with your alternate items.
    5. There's many ideas you could use for your Hinterlands 'castle', rooms, public exhibits, naming and semi-blogging, alternate storage for stuff you want to keep out of the main stash. All kinds of ideas.

I'll have more, I just stumbled on this thread and figured I'd chime in.

Oh and while it's not Pizza related, I'd really like to quit seeing the FULLSCREEN overlay every time my mouse pointer is near the top of the screen -- just don't have that popup, its not necessary and very annoying.

There are already people complaining that being able to buy chests is P2W...could you imagine the feedback from being able to buy specific items?

This is hard-coded into flash so the devs can't do anything about it, unfortunately.

They are suggestions based on current options. With specific item RNG, people who don't have unlimited disposable income have a chance at generating items they are looking for. As it is now I won't waste a dime on random chests, I'll just buy the specific items with pizza turned into cash (which is the true P2W going on, not RNG chests).

And yes I know it's hard coded but I was under the impression that could be handled by the development side. There's hacks and ways to force it client side but very few will use those.

But, and correct me if I'm wrong, you can't buy epic or legendary gear with gold, right? And you're suggestion is that players would have the chance at getting an epic or legendary item, no?

Top 4 items in my rarities store are Epic currently.

Ah. Well, my question still stands for legendary gear then.

You can buy anything that you can get from chests including Legendary items.

Then yeah, I can't imagine your suggestion would go over well with players.

I just overcame your objection then you responded to it like my answer was the reason players wouldn't like my suggestion. :)

It's just a suggestion, and it's less P2W than purchasing items from converted pizza to gold.

Yup. And I'm not saying it's a terrible suggestion or anything, I'm just telling you how I think players would react to it. Especially seeing as how some have already acted over being able to buy chests. :)

I don't see how. You can't buy legendary items with gold, but you could buy them with your suggestion using money, so...I mean how would it not be P2W seeing as how legendary items are supposed to be the 'best' items in the game?(Not saying they always are, but you get my point.)

  20. Psuper

    Psuper Kobold

Yes you can buy legendary items with gold, there's no restrictions on types of items gold can buy from the shops -- I always have a few available every week in the store. Course if they did something like I suggested (and I don't care if they do or not, that certainly wasn't my 'best' suggestion :)), they could always narrow it to restrict to common or rare or whatever.

Edit: Oh I see, you thought my previous post about legendary was part of my suggestion and not the answer to your legendary shop question.
