    Howdy, BM,

I understand that there's likely not much that can be done on the Kong, but I thought you might want to know just how far the discrepancy goes anyway. This is a somewhat detailed message I posted elsewhere concerning a competition:

Some mostly roughshod numbers off the top of my head.
    • Windows 7 Task Manager has said RAM using Kong generally starts ~200 MB.
    • When it was lately getting worse and worse, I saw it over 600 MB and even over 900 MB, but I don't recall how long it'd been up. The 900 certainly wasn't two days or more, perhaps wasn't even one day yet.
    • Task Manager said RAM on CH site started around 20-30 MB.
    • Right now, about 12 hours on CH site, Task Manager says 250 MB, but I'm pretty sure it said over 300 when I checked a few mins ago (during MM 16's battle 3, Keep Lore Elves).
    • I believe stats MEM started around 100 on Kong.
    • The most I recall seeing stats MEM on Kong was at least 400.
    • Right now, after around 12 hours, stats MEM on CH site says 135 ... well, actually, it's climbed to 150 in the last 60 secs or so... okay, and back to 140.
This is unfortunate. I like the idea of playing through Kongregate, but since it's unfeasible to do so lately, there's that -- and then there are the new players finding through Kong and possibly dealing with low-end machine stuff hurting their experience without their realizing there is a better way. (After all, part of the reason I play any games on Kongregate is the expectation that browser games will run on low-end machines -- and I wouldn't be surprised if many other Kong'ers either explicitly think the same, or less consciously don't bother with "the big games" (nevermind that some browser games are awesome and gigantic $;^ b heheh) b/c they have some cheap laptop and don't feel like lobbing $60 at Walmart for some newfangled thing they have to install and might not even like and might not even have the hardware to run decently.

Do what you will with the info of course. Just thought you might want to be aware at least.

    Regards,
