I think we have had enough time with the new items from the expansion to have some favorites. I think the Twisted Shield is popular enough to not mention but just in case you missed it. Right now I have become a huge fan of the Necalli Cap, really a Warrior's best friend, especialy since the armor for the Quickness Aura is a keep (even if it a 6 to roll) and there was a game where I wish it was an Energizing Move, but still much better than a Rushing Aura. I have also been fortunate to get a Staff Of Chask (actually 2) which features 2 of the most popular new cards Punishing Bolt and Pusback Parry. A nice 1 token staff even if Slow is one of my least favorite cards. Anyone else have some favorites other than the Heartripper?
Of the ones I've gotten (which technically are the only ones I know about ), I really like Searing Pain (duh, right?), Displacing Staff, and Cintxotl's Mail. I really like Reliable Mail and that new Barbed Platemail. Obviously I'd trade out the Displacing Staff for Staff Of Chask, but I don't have one.
My favorites include Staff Of Chask and Thin Sparkling Cloak. I need to get my hands on Heartripper and Sliding Boots.
Since this is "Favorite" and not "Most Powerful", I have to mention the Hotglass Staff. I love that thing to pieces.
I just got the Yolotli Armor and it is a new favorite for sure. When you have the Enchanted Harness and Barbed Platemail in your hand it is a really tough nut to crack, especailly against melee attacks. Assuming no hard to block Bad Luck, on average the pair will block 4.67 points of damage (or a full 6 base damage for a NS 55.5% of the time) and deal 3.3 points of penetrating damage to melee attackers. Yes it is tough to have 2 of 36 cards in hand at once (a little easier if you have a non-armor with Enchanted Harness on it like Duncan's Cap or Og's Boots Of Peril but once you do it makes your warrior a barbed tank (well as much of a tank as you can be in this game other than an enchanted harness-enchanted mail combo).
