My warrior got stopped with an Entangling Roots which is apparently preventing him from attacking with Vicious Thrust. I get that he's not supposed to be able to move (or apparently change facing?), but Vicious Thrust doesn't require movement to attack. I expected the movement portion of the card to be negated, not the entire card. If that is intended, some sort of popup explaining why would be nice!
Vicious Thrust is a hybrid move/attack card, and thus it is unable to be played while attached with Entangling Roots. It is working as intended.
A more thorough explanation is that Entangling Roots effect is Halt, which says it also prevents hybrid moves from being played. In any case, I think some sort of feedback would help. Thanks for the response!
Actually, the page for Halt is pretty interesting reading... a group of minions ability to effectively ignore Halts makes those cards less effective than I had thought. So... clarification and partial removal of ignorance!
Yes, because "it is a Move card," the entire card cannot be played. The fact that "it is an Attack card" means that it could be stopped by a Stun effect, too. Kinda like dual citizenship. Only it hurts you. And the fact that you can just plain stand still and use a Step card is something that makes this less intuitive. I suggested once that they rephrase Step to disallow standing still, which would reduce the utility but improve the logic.
