Since some people wanted more variety in goals, I thought I'd throw together a simple escort mission. The hardest part was finding a way to require the defenseless char survives to reach the other side of the board. Story:

Okay, anyway, for an escort mission, I think the Wyvern is a little too tough. My Mercs went down in no time, but the baby just sat there and tanked.
Yeah, but I want to make sure the mercs can't reach the victory squares, and there just aren't too many monsters that can cross impassable terrain. You can try with an Ethereal Wisp instead, which is properly helpless against roaches, but his Teleport Self moves him down the board a little too quickly for my tastes.
Nah, the problem is there just aren't enough monsters without VP, especially not tough ones. I mean, the cockroaches can be a pain, but they're more of an annoyance than a real threat, at least in small numbers anyway.
Now I suddenly want to murder hoards of cockroaches filling every possible cells on the map. But to do that, I need to buff the HP of my party a bit. The editor really really need to be able to do this Customization is somewhat lacking.
I made a scenario just for you, to satisfy all your bug-stompin' cravings (it took me a whole 5 minutes to make). Unfortunately, the stupid forums won't let me to upload anything today.
Woohoo, more clever level design! A thought on the visuals: are there any crinkle edges you can add to the black squares, making them into real "cliff edges"?
Do you mean something like this? I used the shadow decals to create an ambient-occlusion style corner effect between the wall and the ground. Not sure if it works if you don't already think of it as a cliff though.
Heh. It bugs me when all the monsters in a dungeon are just standing around watching the door, waiting for adventurers to walk in.
Couldn't you have enemies that did count for victory points, but have the victory threshold be higher than the number of VPs you could get by killing enemies? Possible drawback is that you might have to "pass" forty kajillion times after you took the vp square, but them's the breaks. -Frank
Sure, you can set the VP target to anything you want. But I'd still need to have one unkillable enemy to prevent players from winning by killing everything. That's already a problem with the current version, because the wyvern has only one Fly, and during one test it was literally the last card in his deck.
Thanks for the fun, Resistant Hide is quite tough to deal with (rockfall cannot 1 hit kill them). Xanthicious's amour barely help. I survived with 2 HP left. (Progress)
Woo, beat it with 4hp remaining! I have to admit though I attempted this, uh, many many times. Without a great first draw and a large field of bugs without Resistant Hide I stood no chance.
