As per title. If this is intentional design, please amend Wall of Stone so it is clear that it is not a terrain attachment.
This has been noted before (e.g. in this thread: https://forums.cardhunter.com/threads/cleansing-burst-vs-wall-of-stone.2027/) but technically it is not a bug. This is what Jon said on the issue:
That's fine, but it should be clear that WoS is a "blocked terrain attachment" distinct from other types of "terrain attachment".
I think it is a bug because the Walls are terrain attachments and should therefore be removed by cleansing. What Jon says there is just a technical reason why Walls do not get removed. I think there should be an exception for terrain cleansing cards, regardless of how powerful Walls are, because that's how most people expect it to work, I know I did. I don't think that it's beneficial to keep this kind of confusion spreading bug in the game just for card balancing purposes.
I've always thought of Wall of Stone as "terrain ALTERATION" (albeit a temporary one) rather than a "terrain attachment"-- terrain attachments usually only have a "Stop" effect (on movement points), while Wall of Stone has a "blocked terrain" effect (NO movement & line-of-sight)...
Yeah, but I don't think you would have assumed that it worked like this before you saw the card in action. Common sense tells us that cleansing should remove Wall of Stone because it's so similar to other terrain enchantments, which is why we keep seeing confusion and bug report topics like these over and over again. When we look at these cards, they look almost identical. I don't think there is a human being on this planet who would assume that the second one can be removed and the first one cannot. Sure it's "blocked", but how many new players know what it actually even means?
Really, do you get confused between Wall of Illusion and Wall of Fire too-- cos I think most people know that you CAN move into fire vs a Wall of Stone... Sorry, if I sound facetious-- but compared to your issue with the Card Image/graphic, the opening post makes a better case for clarifying the Card Text, 8^P
Huh? Who said anything about walking into them? My point was that cleansing cards talk about "Discard terrain attachment" which is exactly what new players assume Wall of Stone is. This issue has come up many times in forums and in chat, so it's pretty clear that it is a source of confusion. When I talked about the cards being identical, I wasn't only talking about image/graphic. The text is almost identical as well, as is the range and even the card name. They clearly belong in the same "set" which is why it's so confusing when one gets cleansed and the other does not.
