When I recruit a character and the name I choose is deemed unacceptable I should be able to try to choose another name rather than being forced to accept one I did not choose. At the very least you should make it clear which names are unacceptable so that I can avoid trying a bad one in the first place. This is very frustrating. I'm not sure what's wrong with "****ashi". I'd like my 10g back please.
You can always rename your characters from the Keep. Just press the little pen marker next to the name of the character... (also, about half the name could be considered a rude word - guess that's why there was an issue to begin with?)
It actually complained about me trying to name a dwarf wizard "Pyrebeard", and that doesn't seem to have any swears in it. I tried the rename option and it worked, though.
