Sharp Cucelden moved. DP_test1 tries to block an attack meant for DP_test1 - and succeeds, protecting their ally! Potent Stab was cancelled. DP_test1 drew Dodge. DP_test1 discarded Cause Fumble Card text: Block Melee attack targeting an ally within 6 squares. Draw a card. Was under the assumption that this was a support card. If not, this is a great dual use block card and perhaps should be reworded as: Block Melee. Also block melee attack attack targeting an ally within 6 squares. Draw a card.
yh, I wasn't expecting that...as I had another block in hand. And the log was also worded weirdly: DP_test1 tries to block an attack meant for DP_test1 - and succeeds, protecting their ally!
I would be fine if it worked that way but you are right it definitely needs text work or is working differently to how it was intended.
It currently does defend yourself as well as others so, as you noted, the rule wording should change.
Just had a warrior get attacked with a Mob Attack (which is listed as melee piercing in it's info bar) and my priests Cause Fumble didn't trigger. A turn later the warrior gets attacked with a Bludgeon and Cause Fumble did trigger. Also message log reads thus: "Ogrekin tries to block an attack meant for Ogrekin - and succeeds, protecting their ally!" Ogrekin is the warrior, my priest was using the card to block for him.
Not sure about why mob attack didn't trigger it. If you can get a screenshot and a battle ID number next time that happens, both would be very helpful.
*sigh* tried to replicate last night & cause fumble was triggered correctly by mob attack. Then my internet died in the arse.
