I figured that I should post my current MP build now that I've accidentally hit the mid-1400s. (Beat a 1700+ and a 1500+ player back-to-back after I got tired of rage-quitting against whirls. >_<) It doesn't really have much synergy, and it could certainly be stronger in many ways because the build was originally designed around 3 figures I wanted to use - Karen (elf wizard), Cat or Gary (human priest), Melvin (dwarf warrior): The Oracle is has two primary roles - buff with Unholy Wellspring and improve draw with Demonic Power/Leadership. Secondarily, the Oracle can serve as a meatshield (which is risky due to Raging Strike) or draw out blocks with the random utility cards. Purge and Purging Burst can also be very useful at the right time. *sigh* Karen... ≡(*ェ*)≡ Of course, Karen must wield ALL THE FIRE. Fireball and Ember Burst make the most of Unholy Wellspring by hitting multiple targets. They can also usually keep Karen safe from LOS around a corner. She stacks Flank Move for positioning, and both Short Perplexing Ray and Elven Trickery for defense. Dissolve Armor is great for nasty armor (especially Resistant Hide) or a wellspring-boosted long-range kill. Hot Flames also helps to penetrate armor. Obviously, Karen is incredibly fragile and should try to avoid exposure as much as possible. The Troll's primary purpose is to draw into the Enchanted Harness + Barbed Platemail combo. Otherwise, he's a standard dwarf warrior. He's often good for cleaning up the mess left by Karen, and can also take on a firestorm team by himself.
So many bad items! My head explodes! ----------------- Why are you using Glimmer boots when Goat boots are better due to having immovable and a 4+move card? Ritual straps look meh to me, as lifesaver is good but it's flaw is in how long you may need to keep it. Pungent Incense with that healing pulse is a crazy bad card imo, as you probably waste a turn trying to orchestrate you're remaining chars into a position that's suitable to use it. I can't see see any evidence here that Cat/Gary can do anything but avoid being hit. ---------------- Errrghh, then sensate's rings, it's a seemingly nice card that actually is pretty much a very bad card, little zaps are just a waste, the telekinsis stuff doesn't move people far enough, and squemish is purely for cycling. I'm starting to think as well, that maybe this deck works on a low range tier, but there's so many weird epics that I can't exactly justify it my head. Why dissolve armor when you can boil it out? Using Akon's Amulet, a common that will simply increase the effectiveness. Wellsprings are great for Karen, but you kinda already shown how to stop any chance of boosted damage by either cycling out the attachment, or, enemies purging the thing from existence (since they're are more cards that allow this to happen). So now imo you have two scarily fragile characters that are probably even more fragile once you've been hitting them with 3 damage drawing techniques. ----------------- Surely I don't have any qualms with a typical warrior!? Errr yep, sadly. I really don't rate armor that much. Certainly officer harness' are the only way to go about mass damage reduction, but then, I'm using akons amulet, and poof the magic is lost. I'd always know if you had those armors too, so it's not like I'm playing a guessing game with you. Barbed platemail would be good against only a few types of deck, with the enchanted harness included it's a very lucky hand you're having with one of each in you're deck. If say, someone isn't messing around with melee attacks, how easy is it to perplex the armor right off? Also I asssume you're feeding this dude all the Demonic Power, and the consequence is someone using avoidance tactics. It's almost like a postic note to any other player. Don't attack me cos I got all the armor, I got all the cards. --------------------- I suppose I get the strategy here, and I do honestly like some of the idea's involved, but as usual the weak leak is a priest, softly hoping never to be targetted.
