Note: This Is A Map 4 Mauve Manticore Disturbed Monkeys In game Username - Same as here: BlackVoidDeath Story: Your race has inhabited this forest for as long as anyone can remember and while no-one has been through these woods your race has evolved into WAR MONKEYS, but as soon as the Mortals find out they will sprint to attack you! After exploring, another group of mortals spot one of your kind so now that they know you exist you must stop them from leaving this forest or else they will come back but with much greater forces. Spoiler: Screen-Shot Epilogue: If these Mortals don't come back from this forest its fine because half the adventurers don't come back anyway because of walking trees, massive spiders, and other monsters. Tips: KEEP THE CHEIFTAIN ALIVE because you will lose if you don't Please give productive feedback & how I can improve this thank you
I really like this one, I played it a number of times, the problem is, I can't beat it. It might be just a tiny bit too hard. The other thing is the paths in the trees look really weird and because they have the dark boarder of the trees showing through they look like they should be blocked terrain which makes them confusing. I like that the monkeys are "in the trees" but in the end I think it's just a nice idea that ultimately detracts from the map. I'd just remove the vines entirely, put it back to blocked terrain and start the monkeys in the grass. Lastly, it's a bit annoying when the melee monkeys start far away and the flying monkeys start close, maybe instead of random spawns fix them so the flying monkeys are the one's furthest away? Overall this one feels really close! Some other odds and ends similar to your other map: upper doodads, GM Bits should probably be added. And a minor spelling issue: Should be Disturbed Monkeys
Had an additional thought, adding another character to the monkey side that has plenty of Energize might be all that's needed to balance out the teams.
thnx for the feedback & i am glad u like it so i think i will take out the vines as u said but leave the "in the trees" thing u will see what i have in mind if u load the new save file . i dont want to fix the monkey spawns because i am giving the idea that the monkeys are not prepared and just rush to attack. I dont know how to change the title so you will have to bear (< see what i did there? ) with me. can you tell me any figures with Energize which would fit into the senario? if you do - let me know as soon as possible & if you dont you can always count on the Simian Reflexes .Lastly i always forget to add GM bits so i will do that as soon as i can, thnx
Monkey Chieftain is perfect but only two Energize. Gnome Inciter has four, and a less direct damaging / more supporting deck.
I have shuffled the characters around and have come up with 6 different outcomes: Key: FM = Flying Monkeys PG = Per Group 0 FM: Challenging on the first 3 goes, back then it was almost impossible to complete, but then you would get use to the deck and enemy and the other two games i played, i won without any problems. 1 FM 1 Star: First of all, here you must be careful not to lose you Flying Monkey because, like the Chieftain, Gary gets a star for killing it. This one is again, hard to begin with, but i got the hang of it by my 3rd game, on my 4th, Gary drew Sprint on the human warrior and nearly won by standing on the Victory squares but i managed to move him out by moving my 2 health Flying Monkey with Acrobatic Flip next to him, he took the bait. 1 FM 2 Star: In this scenario Gary has to get 2 Stars and because Zaius gives 2 VP and the Flying Monkey gives 1 VP, you do not lose if the Flying Monkey dies. This is, personally, my favourite scenario out of the 6. 1 FM 3 Star: In this scenario Gary has to get 3 Start but because he only gets one star every round for standing on the VP squares he has to kill at least one of the two VP worth characters otherwise he would probably get killed by the end. 1 PG: Here, i had to change the tag to nokillpoints - because each monkey had their own group. One downside of this deck is that the Chieftain can draw Energize which is useless in this scenario. This is VERY hard and i am yet to complete this one. - Tell me if anyone has completed this one. 1 PG Easy: In this case the map comes from near Impossible to VERY easy. Story for the 1 FM maps - you must not lose the Chieftain because he is the head of the monkeys and he commands them, so without him it would be very hard to live on. The flying monkey is the monkey scientist, he creates all sorts of machinery so he is very important to the monkey race, but the monkeys can live without him, but it would be hard. The monkey warriors are not that important because new warriors can be recruited with ease
