I sold a Fine Brass Toupee and a Gold Thread Toupee, one at the Daily Deal and the other at Randimar's. The Gold Thread Toupee shows up at Skarl's Seconds, but the Fine Brass one doesn't. Both are now for sale at the Daily Deal for full price. I don't think the limit of three items in Skarl's is live yet, but in any case Skarl's did not have any of either item before I sold them. This is not a terrible problem, but if I had been pawning useful equipment rather than treasures it could have been a gotcha moment.
I thought Skarl's was only supposed to stock items you sold from chests not everything you sell. Also, anything you sell to shops should remain the same price if you want to buy it back.
Thanks for the explanation. As far as I can tell you only get Skarl's explained once when it is first introduced and there's no in-game way to get that info again. So if you're not paying close attention the first time, or if you are on the forgetful side, it's easy to miss out on some of the nuances of how it works. Since the one toupee I sold wound up in the Daily Deal, I imagine it will go away when the shop resets. I'd rather enjoy my St. Portia's Maul than buy it back, though.
Yep. Only items sold via the loot screen sell box go to Skarl's: These remain for 3-4 weeks I believe, and as you note will soon have a cap of three of any item. Items sold at shops will not go to Skarls, but will remain at those shops until that shop resets.
