I just beat Amy and I don't know how. I'm no longer in Card Hunter so I can't check the logs. I have to appeal to either the Great Ones What Can Check the Server Logs, or to the wisdom of other players. Amy was down to two characters, including an Elf Priest with 2 HP. The Elf Priest cast Accelerated Thought, and, if I recall correctly, triggered Lesser Contagion at the same time (so both of her characters would get this attached). Then a series of events flipped by too quickly for me to register, the Elf Priest suffered 2 damage and died, I "earned" the last victory point I needed, and I won without the game going to my turn. Uh? As far as I know, there are no effects that would cause damage from the sequence of cards I just listed. Does anyone know a card combo that could explain this?
Accelerated thought deals exactly 2 damage to the character targeted by it. Since you can't self-target with Accelerated thought she targeted an ally - and then lesser contagion triggered, resulting in afflicted her as well - she took damage in the process from her own spell, everything working as intended.
. . . Wow, I'm not used to this game where ability boosts can have a "damage" statistic. It never occurs to me to look in that corner. Sorry, folks.
Unholy Power, Accelerated Thought, Unholy Well and few others do that. Altough my memory is lacking right now so I can't name any more.
