Not sure if this will ever affect that many people but it happened to me so... When I first signed up, I went to the multiplayer section (MP), bought my starter set but didn't actually play a game. I focused on the single player campaigns. At some point, I deleted the characters that I got from that starter set: I didn't recognize them at the time, wondered how they got there, knew I could replace them for 30g at any point. Then, last night, having gotten my first three twenties and having hit a brick wall at the Troll Tyrant I decided to try MP. I click on the stadium, get Melvin telling me that he's going to be my opponent. The match starts... but I don't have any characters to play. All I have is a Pass Button and Gary doesn't seem to realize that I don't have any players. I keep passing so I can lose and move past this stage will allow me to lose and I can move forward. But then I discover that I have to keep playing him until I win. I didn't have any options to bring in any of my characters from the single-player campaign at that point. Eventually, I figured out that I needed to go to the shop, buy another starter set. At that point I was able to beat Melvin. I think it was at that point, I could choose any of my characters from SP roster.
