I just had an unpleasant surprised when fighting a Tan Mold. I thought my dwarf would be ok in fighting it face-to-face, because I had two Hard To Pin Down cards. Unfortunately, neither Poisoned Pseudopod nor Infected Bite triggered the block cards. (ie. there was no dice roll for either attack). I can't see anything on the cards that would tell me there's nothing on either the block card or the attack cards to tell me why the blocks didn't trigger, so I suppose it's a bug, or missing information.
Well, the usual explanations are: - The attack came from the back (Blocks only stop attacks from the front or sides) - You were standing in mud (Mud terrain prevents blocks, see Mud Pit for example) If you're sure neither of those was the case, then it may well be a bug.
hmm. I'm certain the attacks weren't from behind - but there may have been a mud pit. I didn't know that about mud, so I wasn't paying attention to that. So that's probably what it was. Thanks.
