It unlocks MM5, but not Tree Forts of the Goblin King. Is this WAI? (I'm not really sure what unlocks what anymore, but this one seemed obvious.)
It used to be Gobs unlocks Pools unlocks Tvericus unlocks Forts. But they've been changing things recently (I think Pools now unlocks directly from Viscous).
Pools unlocked Viscous. I think Woods and Tree Forts used to work like Diamonds/White Star and Frozen Earth/Strench. Tree Forts is now unlocked by Pools or Tvericus (I think it was Tvericus, but didn't write it down ). Lots of interruptions today, and poor annotation on my part.
Tree Forts is unlocked when Goblins AND Tvericus are completed. This is to make sure that the story makes sense - previously it was possible for Karen to get fired and then for you to end up in an adventure with her without the revelation that she's going to keep playing so that you can win her a ticket to CardStock.
Ah, thanks! I played Tvericus first before. (And probably wouldn't have followed the storyline closely enough to notice. As long as I don't have to write it, I don't think too much about it.)
Wait wait wait.... It used to be you had to play Garnet, Cockroaches, Goblins, Pools, and Tvericus in that exact order. Now you can play Pools immediately after Viscous (before Garnet). My memory of the story isn't very good, but I know Cockroaches is when Gary learns that Karen plays CardHunter. Does playing Pools before that mess up the story?
This isn't related to when Gary learns that Karen plays Card Hunter - it's about when Gary and Karen decided to try to GM you through the campaign so that Melvin will give Karen his spare ticket to CardStock.
But it's a problem if Karen is GMing us in Pools and then later (in Cockroaches) Gary is surprised that she plays. Does Karen GM Pools? We really need to get "resettut" fixed so we can test these things. Most of us have never seen the bits about her family....
Okay, I checked the Prompts file, and Karen does GM Pools of Slime. In fact, it's because she GM'd that for us that she lost her job (though you don't find that out until Tvericus). @Sir Veza : Check the prompts for Attack of the War Monkeys for some details. There may be more that I haven't found yet.
