I regret buying my membership for your game so early on. This is because PvP at the moment is completely broken. This is primarily because of just a few cards. Any of these cards can very easily win the game by itself. At the higher level of play (1300+) you see these cards in EVERY deck. This isn't a coincidence. They are over powered cards. And worse, they take most thinking of the game. Here are a list of cards that I think should be completely removed from PvP: All Out Attack Whirlwind Enemy - And probably whirlwind too Sprint (at least on the first round) - And probably any move with more than 4 Dodge - an unlimited shield basically Winds of War Borderline cards that PvP would be way more fun without: Impenetrable Nimbus Martyr Blessing Dash, Team Dwarven Battle Cry Pathfinding I am probably missing a few cards but these ones definitely stand out to me of just ruining the game on many occasions. Snares such as cone of cold and freeze are just out of hand. A snare heavy mage can effectively keep at least one opponent locked down for the entire game. This is especially true if they are also playing any type of push cards (including the ones I listed above). Why not take a cue from other games that have great PvP and put in some kind of diminishing return? Why not nerf their power a little bit in a PvP setting? Right now there is clearly something wrong with these abilities. Meanwhile, by comparison, damage spells are a complete joke unless you really have a deck stacked with legendaries. And even then I'd happily take a few uncommon arcane items that have both whirlwind enemy and winds of war (it is some level 14 uncommon arcane item that isone of the best in the game FYI, how stupid is that?)
Funny that my deck does not use 3 of your cards that should be completely removed from pvp because they are so broken and only one of the borderline cards. In total I have only 7 cards (3*dwarven battle cry, 2* dodge, 2* whirlwind enemy) that you consider abolutely broken. But you know what takes the fun out of pvp? Stalling for 7 minutes and then making a move hoping that your opponent does not pay attention to the tab. You know like you did against me yesterday.
Before this thread spirals out of control, I'd suggest the OP post his MP party build for critique. None of the so-called listed cards are un-counterable or OP'ed as claimed. edit: since OP isn't bothered to list party build...I'm not bothered to watch this thread...have a feeling its going to be another trollfest. shrugs...
I did fine in MP after playing only a few days. I worked my way up to 1350 at my peak. And that is with overall mediocre cards - mostly uncommon stuff. How about you actually address the cards themselves and why you think they might not be broken? - Turinturamba: your deck idea revolves around another broken game mechanic. That is why I listed Dwarven Battle Cry on my list. This card especially really solidifies just how broken **exponential** draw decks are. By itself Unholy Power is just a strong card. Combined with other cards that let you draw multiple more, however, and it gets completely out of hand. Someone should not be able to sit at the start and just pass, while their opponent collects victory points, until they draw the unstoppable combination of draw cards that lets you draw your entire deck at once. This could let a warrior for example have an arrogant armor, dodge and several moves/attacks at the same time. They are basically invulnerable in this state and will kill everything no problem. If you don't see how that is broken you are just being ridiculous. You can reliably get 15+ cards stacked on the same character after a few turns pretty much every time with such a deck. So yeah, that is another aspect of the game that should be nerfed, although getting rid of just dwarven battle cry could do the trick since the issue is that these cards **exponentially** work out to be a crazy advantage. A few of them work fine. A bunch of them together are just broken.
There are many ways to avoid the frost mages: arrogante armor for instance btw i think a overlooked card is counterspell, im using it and i must say its great Other than that theres alot of diferentr cards and strategies, i think none is better than other, for instance as i said frost mages can be useless just with a arrogant armor
It is too early to say what is overpowered in multiplayer. There are definitely some dominant strategies emerging but the community is still learning and people will soon learn to build to counter them, thats how the metagame evolves. If some cards/builds emerge that are just too hard to counter then the devs should do something about it but for now it is still too early.
