Beta keys, passwords and security issues

So I just received the email with my beta key. I followed the instructions in the mail, clicked on the link to get me on live.cardhunter.com or whatever, and a message sprung up and said that I was being redirected to some other site and that it wasn't trustworthy. Whatever, I'll just type the link directly, right? So far so good and I mention this only because it might be relevant later on.
I go on the site, it asks me for the login and password. It doesn't accept the password I input. I try again, just to be sure, and it still won't accept the password I wrote when I created the account (less than a minute before, I remember what password I wrote). I thought I might have had caps lock on or whatever, and try a few combinations of mistakes. Still nothing. I hit lost password and again the redirect and "not trustworthy" sign from Google Chrome. I try a few more times, the button yields the same pop up. Since trusting the Internet is never a good idea, I shut down the sign and come to post here.
If you need more info to fix the problem, I'll happily provide them, just ask. If the problem is unsolvable (as in, you cannot avoid making something that is classified as insecure by Google Chrome) I guess I have a problem there. :-/ If it is me instead, I'd like to know what I'm doing wrong. Thank you in any case, and I hope to be able to provide more interesting feedback soon!
