Fun thread to share some memorable moments.

Context: I recently got rid of my priest to add a second warrior. Used to run a fairly typical warrior/wiz/priest with “my best cards” and found myself consistently losing to a wizard-heavy team. When I began simply resigning every single time I ran into wizard teams I figured I needed to do something (I'm a pretty casual player, its nothing personal, I just don't find playing against wizard teams very fun and I figured I'd save the 15 minutes waiting for the inevitable). Anyway, not sure the revamp is working out but has been slightly better than before.

    Best opening hand draw:
One warrior drew Walk, Sprint, All Out Attack, and 2x Powerful Hack. Sprinted to the back and squished a wizard during round 1.

    Worst opening hand draw:

Both warriors drew Fright, Blind Rage, Walk and two attacks. (Both only have one Fright and Blind Rage each ... what are the odds of both warriors pulling them together?)

it happened to me more than once in mp. 2 of my 3 mages starting with Combustible+Vulnerable vs a Fs Deck...

    Firestorm build...
It is nice to draw either Toughness or Resistant Hide and two Firestorms (after Trait cycling) while Priests draw Unholy Wellspring and Savage Curse. And you see elves on the other side of the board. Each buffed firestorm does 4+4+3=11 damage. So when no enemy blocks and armor does not work, they get 22 damage. On the beginning of the next turn they will get 2 more damage unless... wizard has Firestarter buff. So with some really really good/bad luck enemy can loose 22+2+2 = 26 damage. It is enough to kill an elf. If enemy has either Combustible or Raging Strike it is 6 more damage which would be 32 total.
Your wizard can either discard Toughness on the first Firestorm or Reliable Hide. But he would survive it with some healing. You can cast first Firestorm without Savage Curse, so he would not discard anything and Resistant Hide protect him. Less damage but you save your armor and first Firestorm hits some blocks or armors anyway.

I think something like that happened to me a few times with some variations. If you run a kind of draw deck, many things can happen in the first round. ;)

fey - i hear you. I play two elf warriors + human priest for high mobility and high damage, seems to do okay against control wizards maybe 50% of the time.

But if I get a couple of quick runs or nimble strikes + all out attack + obliterating strike on both warriors in my first draw, i can end that game by round two. Even better if I get an impenetrable nimbus or purge.
