I think we need a thread like this, so here it is! The idea is to post items formatted as shown below with your opinion on them and the general usability of them so new players know exactly what items are great. item name class(for boots, put all) tokens slot cards rarity opinion overall usability out of five, with five being the best, zero being the worst please, if you have differing opinions on items than someone else, take it to another thread.
Why tell people how usable items are when they could just find out themselves, good players don't need to read about what items are good or bad to find out how good they are. Seriously, this guide wouldn't be worth the work.
I read the Daily Deal stuff. Peon does a good job already, right there. Also one can get advice in the Rate my Randimar
That's why it's a beginner's guide. New players often do. There are older threads that already cover much of this, but they probably need updating.
plus, you know, peon doesn't cover commons/uncommons. Veza has the right idea, its meant to be more of a stepping stone for new players and just people who don't know what to grab when stuck between two choices
The Shopping List is the old thread I was thinking of. It covers items available in the normal shops. @Punf also submitted a Best in Slot list worth perusing. Don't fall for the Oversized Pick gag. Here's one @Jade303 did on boots. I think all of these are pre-EttSC, but could serve as a nice base for constructing a new thread.
