I used battlefield tactics to transfer a Duck card from one of my characters (Gili) to another (Re'ya). So far, so good. Gili dies, but Re'ya still holds the card. Re'ya is attacked by Cave In and manages to duck it. However, instead of Re'ya getting the card, it states in the action box that Gili discards Duck and Cave In isn't in anyone's hand. Log: BATTLE LOG: Scenario=Astral Dusk,Room=ASSH (Skip Intro),RoomID=5628 Attached cards: Firestarter (3) blocks Cave In BATTLE LOG: Scenario=Astral Dusk,Room=ASSH (Skip Intro),RoomID=5628,Group=Re'ya Salka no'Runya,Event=Discard,Card=Duck
This seems tricky. First, if I'm understanding this thread correctly, area-of-effect cards don't count for the "steal" part of Duck. Second . . . I can't seem to find this, but I thought we had some other thread about "stating in the log that the original owner discarded the ownership-swapped card." Yes, I agree it would be helpful if the game instead said "so-and-so discards The Card, and it goes into such-and-such's discard pile."
I saw Lord Batford steal a Fireball I cast, I presumed that Cave In would also be stolen, but that might not be the case. My main confusion is that the screen showed that the original owner of duck discarded it, rather than the current owner. The log looks correct and contradicts what was shown on screen, it seems.
