Barbed platemail + fiery stab

I had a fiery stab attached to one of my chars that also had in hand a Barbed Platemail: when in the beginning of the match the card burns, the armor worked and instead of the 3 burning damage inflicted 4 piercing damage to myself, is this supposed to be this way or it's a bug? Thanks

    I have another bug...
I used Verbose+Clip to get the battle log BTW...let me know if you want me to paste it here.

Basically my opponent hit my character (holding Chain Harness-Chain Harness-Spiked Platemail) with a Strong Bash which triggered Spiked Platemail and killed themselves. Spiked Platemail DISAPPEARED as if discarded, and then at the end of the round, I could only keep one Chain Harness as if I was still holding the Spiked Platemail.

Does your error msg look the same as this post ?

I presume you have the board/map from the log.

edit: for some reason, I feel really ancient... =)

    Yes... Error #1009!

    MESSAGE: Error #1009
    STACK TRACE:
    TypeError: Error #1009

Although holy moley, this error log is huge. Thank goodness for CTRL+F! and Thanks Phaselock! The Chess Henge map caused this ?

np. :) I think you can start a new thread and post/attach the log in it. Let the devs confirm and do their job. Cheers ! :)

Bump. My dwarf with Yolotli Armor has died several times due to this bug.

    (edit: the OP bug...)

Oh come on. Clearly it's your fault, burning yourself with fire damage. Of course you are going to get spiked.

I've killed a few people thanks in part to their Barbed Platemail.

Just replying to bump this, as people will be changing their builds around this bug, and it'll be good to know when it's fixed.

Bumping this as it has cost me several games in the past week alone.

I've given up already and take it as a rule not as a bug -.-

Did this really take 10 minutes to find the bug in code?

It was more an issue of figuring out the right way to fix it.

Barbed Platemail states that it damages "the attacker". When the Fiery Stab burns, the code identifies the character the card is attached to as the attacker. What I had to do was figure out how to change that in a way that makes the card operate as you would expect and is also consistent with other card rules.

The decision I made was to only identify the attacker as the character who plays a card that does damage. Barbed Platemail (and any other similar cards) will no longer apply their (non-armor) effect in cases where the damage being prevented comes from a triggered card instead of a played card.
