I think we should have an option that allows us to Auto-pass if we can't do anything. We need this especially cause of co-op.
This seems good in theory, right up until you remember all of the chaos that can happen in Card Hunter. Human commands could give you additional attack cards, for instance. Someone could play Sprint, Team, and push you into melee range, at which point you wouldn't want to pass your turn if you had a melee card you couldn't previously use. A priest could play a Demonic card and allow you to draw more cards, and suddenly you really wouldn't want to pass. Enemy cards could force traits on you to play, at which point the game couldn't let you pass. Pressing pass repeatedly while your allies play cards may seem like an annoyance, but at the moment it's a necessary one since the situation could change at any time.
@ClanCrusher I think you misunderstood the option. While enabled you would pass if you can't play any cards(it does take into account that you could friendly fire), if you can play cards then it wouldn't auto-pass.
Exactly! Players would still have to watch, but if I have no cards in my hand I'm cool with my turn being skipped.
+1 for this, particularly for Co-op mode (it's way less of an issue when I'm the only player on my team, but even solo there are times I just want to pass the rest of the round). I have situations all the time in co-op where I play my one move or whatever for the round, and then I have to wait and watch like a hawk for my turn to come up just so I can press Pass yet again. In addition to just "auto-pass if there's literally nothing you can do," I would also like to see an opt-in auto-pass. Put a checkbox near where the pass/next player button is, marked "Auto-Pass until next round." If the box is marked when the player hits Pass, it will start automatically passing when the player receives priority. Once Auto-Pass has started, it will disable if the player unchecks the box, presses any key (maybe just spacebar/enter?) or automatically when the next round starts (or whenever cards are drawn?).
