Ambient Audio unaffected by any volume sliders

The campaign's ambient background audio (grass wind, birds chirping) appears to be unaffected by any of the volume sliders. Setting them all to 0 doesn't change its volume. Occurs in Firefox 24.0 and Chrome 29.0.1547.66 m, Flash 11.8.800.

After you moved the sliders, did you go into another area of the game, like enter a new battle? It's been a longstanding issue that sound settings don't apply until you go somewhere, and the devs are aware of this. No word on if and when the coding might change.

Right now it's a "smaller" bug than other stuff, but it hasn't been forgotten or ignored :)

  4. I'll be most grateful when this is fixed! I like to listen to Spotify while I play, and wouldn't even mind the ambient sound under that, except that it's loud enough to distract even when Spotify's volume is all the way up.

(Has anyone found a workaround in the meantime, specifically on a Mac under Firefox, or any browser really? Something that will mute either the browser sound specifically or just Flash? I believe Windows can do this out of the box, but OS X can't, though I found a $10 app called SoundBunny that looks like it would do the trick.)

  5. Never mind, I'm a big dork. For some reason I thought I'd already tried the "adjust sliders then go to a different area" trick, but when I tried it just now, it worked as Sir Knight states, and stayed working across logins. Problem solved for all practical purposes. :D

  6. Also doesn't work for me! Ok, go to another area... Umm, that still seems like an annoyance.

The game really needs to be instantly mute-able. Otherwise, if you really need to shut it up right away, you have to close the Tab, then re-log in later... It's pretty annoying.

And if I'm playing other browser based games at the same time??! I can't just switch back and forth and have fun with both games, without hearing Card Hunter's incessant ambient noise..
