First off Dev's I really like this game and think you have done a wonderful job combining some genres into a playable, fun game. I was skeptical at first having heard about the game in an interview hosted by Marshall Sutcliffe. I thought, "why not try it, it's free" and have been hooked ever since!

I feel that overall the game is well balanced. I have enjoyed both single and multiplayer.
I like the diversity of challenges in the single player and the story line between Melvin and Gary. It really felt like I was playing a table top game with a AI gm. Pretty sweet!.
In multiplayer I have been impressed by the variation of map types and design. There are always a few I
struggle on and few that fit my style of play each rotation. I also appreciate how varied the strategy can be. Despite being up against better opponents or better builds I have never felt that I absolutely can not win. I definitely do not like seeing certain cards/effects but over all I have throughly enjoyed, and will continue to enjoy playing multiplayer. Leagues also do a lot to increase the fun of multiplayer. Not to mention they are a great way to get more chests.
I probably most impressed with how competitive a player can be without shelling out money. You, in my
opinion, have done a wonderful job making sure this is not a pay to win game. And, instead the most rewarded players are the ones that play the most. Which is exactly what you want to reward, playing your game. I have actually decided to spend some money now and then, not so much for what i can get with it, but to support a game I really like.

    Dislikes:

    Halt disabling step attacks.
I don't understand why I can not attack a character I am adjacent to when I have been halted by
Entangling Roots. It seems like the movement and attack should be separate. And that the cards can still be an attack even when you can not move.

Blocks from a distance, Defender's Block, Cause Fumble.
I actually really like that these cards are interactive between characters. What I do not like is that they
interact from 3 squares away. I am not sure of the representative space of 1 square (3 sq. ft.???) but I feel like 3 squares (9 ft away??) is too far for a character to be able to stop an attack. If this was some sort of magically projected block then I guess that makes sense, at least I can swallow it. I think it would make sense if the attacker had to be within 3 squares maybe. But as of right now the character doing the defending and the character doing the attacking (melee) can be 5 squares away from each other. I think line of sight might be a good idea too. I would love to know a little more about why these cards work the way they do.

    Ideas and suggestions:
    Leagues:
Cage match/fight to the death, no victory squares maps
All items league. You make your party after entering the league and can choose from multiple of ever item in the game. Completely level playing field.
Might be interesting to have either a full token build league, 12 tokens, or all 8 tokens be major tokens.
    Ranged Weapons
More defensive weapons like blocking mace, for example a sword catch/break.
More tech that focuses on the interaction between 2 duelists/skilled fighters. I would like to see a card/cards like this- Riposte, block melee, 3+, Deal 3 damage to the attacker.
More aggressive shields. I think the offensive capabilities of shields could be enhanced, specifically by putting a card like Barge on a shield.
Obviously I am a happy Card Hunter. So these are just thoughts. Thanks for the great game!

Would give this post 2 likes but we're only allowed to have 1 forum acc :)
When there was 1st bigger items/cards rebalncing going on, I too wondered how can someone block from so far away. There can even be stone wall in middle. I'm not saying it's too unbalaned but it's definitely illogical.
And me and many more have definitely thought about cage match/fight to the death maps. In perfect world ranked MP games would be like this too I think but currently it could create some very unfun scenarios where 1 side would be simply running away from the other and maybe also slowly damaging them from afar. Currently one would have to kill all 3 opposing character from afar in 6 rounds to be able to win without nearing opponents and that's a short time.
But a quite small league map would be perfect for this. Someone (Kalin maybe? Not sure.) even presented a league board for that some months ago.

Cause Fumble is magical (and only on divine items). Not sure what the story is with Defender's Block...

The character tosses the shield, intercepting and blocking the attack in the process. For those instances when a wall is between the Defender and the character being defended... well, let's just say the shield is being tossed really hard.

Heh, I look forward to some new blocks that are also attacks. "Shield Swing", "Shield Bash", "Shield Tackle"

"Shield Boomerang" , of course, will not require line of sight. It will work the same way as Defender's Block does.

Sounds like a Card-O-Tron only item. At least I hope they don't give it to monsters.

Spoiler alert: upcoming expansion is not superhero/villain themed.

Prediction: if we ever do such an expansion, it won't include direct references/ripoffs of major contemporary franchises.
