Not sure about version number, but it happened just a minutes ago. On the attached image you can see Kobold Warrior named Snick standing on lava from "Hot Spot" (1 round left on it). He just moved there himself. Was standing just to the right from it. Kobold Warriors do not have any cards, so Snick won't be able to attack my dwarven warrior. There is longer but safer route through the lower corner of this map. But Snick nevertheless decides to step on lava to die at the start of the next round.
It's because Gary is a good GM I'll elaborate. We've been told that some monsters have unique behaviours in order to lend them a bit of character. e.g. Kobolds and Goblins sometimes make stupid decisions because, well, Kobolds and Goblins aren't too bright.
