AI lost multiplayer match intentionally?

So I was playing agaisnt Amy who had 5/6 stars, two people on the objective.

I had one person on the objective, and the dwarven warrior had no way of getting to an objective (thanks ill-fitting armor, I owe you one). All of my dwarven warrior's cards were revealed, and it was obvious to any human that I couldn't make it, the game was lost.

I pushed forward, using my human cleric to antagonise his elf wizard. After being hit once, the elf wizard teleported to a different objective and used the 6 damage rock fall card, turning the objectives into rock terrain, and damaging his own teammate for 6.

I then put my human cleric on the objective, at which point I expect the AI to pass, as nothing has changed... but the AI steps off of the objective and moves towards the fastest path to get out of the terrain. I pass, he passes.

From here I won the game, where for all intents and purposes, I should have lost.

This leads me to bring up another thing, since we're on the topic of AI. Geomancers.

Regularly when I'm playing against the AI and it is obvious I have exhausted my movement points, the AI will let me stand unmolested on rock, rather than using a hot spot card to cause damage. This reluctance to 'upgrade' terrain to more damaging types has lead to me being able to easily abuse this to get two melee characters through a mob of 5 geomancers (final mission Descent of the Core) by passing until they use lava, then moving until they use rock. Rinse repeat.

This seems like a bug to me, as it doesn't seem like something intended.
