So the Adventurer's Club I signed up for says that the loot you get for joining it will always be as rare or rarer than your other loot. But I got an Epic treasure, and only a Rare A.C. loot. Bug? Or misdocumentation of the features?
That's not how it works. It's the rarest Guaranteed loot you're guaranteed to get another item of the same rarity as - not very intuitive, and discussed recently. http://www.cardhunter.com/forum/threads/club-item-rareness-bug.1906/
Wait. Don't you mean the rarest non-guaranteed loot? because pre-scripted (i.e. guaranteed) loots clearly don't count against the rule. It should say "Your Adventurer's Club loot will be as or more rare than your rarest randomly-rolled loot." Right?
No, rarest guaranteed loot (and pre-scripted should and does work as I recall some items got dropped from legendary to epic/rare to avoid guaranteed legendary drops) - like you get an extra epic from premium adventures (as they're guaranteed 1 epic) and the set loot for the mp chests et c. It's not very clear, and they're working to find a better explanation.
Ok, so what you're saying is that the epic treasure I rolled above isn't one of the guaranteed treasures, it's just a lucky roll? The guaranteed treasure is the uncommon one, and I got lucky again when I rolled Rare for my Adventurer's Club thingy?
Very likely yes, that comb isn't a guaranteed item from anywhere I remember so probably just a case of "good luck" (TM).
That'll teach me to make assumptions about what kinds of rewards are appropriate for the difficulty of a given adventure. That warden guy kicked my ass... XD
