    Hey guys !

After a long discussion on which classes are could be added to the game, im really intrested to hear what classes or figures we want to see in the game ? would it be the popular rogue ? distinguished druid ? noble paladin ? Ranger\Hunter of the wild ?

want to hear you call ... =]

I want another ranged class to happen.

Priests have a lot of warrior attacks in their kit, so maybe the next class could use the more potent magic spells.
But then also bows. Bows should be a thing. Blah blah medieval, blah blah bows.
Also, another underrepresented mechanic is buffing teammates, and healing to a lesser extent. Both or either could be a part of the class as well.
Boom, the ranger (or druid): shaman dudes who wield bows, cast spells and buff/heal teammates with witch doctor stuff like herbs and potions.

I love this concept but I don't exactly have the fuel to flesh it out to where it 'fits' alongside the simpler classes, let alone convince anyone else of its worthiness of consideration.

Eight boot slots, no other equipment, and Entangle replaces the racial move. The Spider Mimic.

(Eight boot slots? But don't normal Card Hunters use one boot slot for both feet? No. The image clearly shows a single boot. You all look ridiculous.)

@CT5 and I were joking about how in a future update I should stealth 'fix' every boot icon to be a pair of boots.

But each character deck has 36 cards.

    12 boots then!

  7. Eight legs, two pedipalps, head, abdomen => maybe allow the spider to wield shields with the pedipalps, for

    - one helmet slot
    - eight boot slots
    - two shield slots
    - one armor slot (heavy? hard to envision a spider wearing robes or divine armor)

which gets you to 36. ;)

A new class? For me, what we would need is a summoner for sure! Cards that creates random allies(monsters for sure!)

Spiders wearing helmets and shields? Utterly ridiculous.

The answer, of course, is goggle slots.

I don't think we want it to summon random allies. Also some of these spells should require discards.

    another ranged class for sure

  12. Well we currently have a near-exclusive melee class, a mostly melee class, and a near-exclusive ranged class. I feel like Rogue can fit nicely in the "mostly ranged" slot. Give them the same HP values as wizards but more blocks, dodges, and mobility to give them a fighting chance at melee.

    I totally agree with this.

Other rpg "mostly ranged" archetype could also be a ranger; they could have bows or crossbows with Piercing Missile cards, even slingshots with Acorn Sling cards. They could also carry snares and traps with cards like Entangling Roots and Stone Spikes. (these are just some cards that already exist and fit the build idea)

could probably use some cards from the plant pygmies and maybe some from creepers too

Forgot about those. They are totally up rogues ally. (also an assassin class that specializes in poisons would be cool)

You get to play a rogue in one of the Muave Manticore's. It's the arena one that's like 5 1v1 battles, but can't remember which number that is. Anyway, it is fun to play with a rogue, but it can be very similar to just playing a wizard. It shouldn't just be about having another class with ranged damage cards because rogues are cool.

Personally, I'd like to see a very creative use of rogues (like setting traps, stealing, bows, and backstabbing) or something very different, like a class that can summon creatures (can't hold VP?).

Without giving away too much of my genius,

I've been thinking of how in the long run five classes might be nice.

They would according to my genius, be bSed on the color wheel in mtg.

So, for a moment imagin the color wheel in mtg, warriors are mostly red. Priests are definitely white. And wizards definitely blue in flavor.

Although, there is of course much overlap in terms if things like "card-drawing", and then races muddle the mixture further.

But I think I can safely say, that leaves black and green as the two remaining color classes that could be filled.

Black- necromancy? Life loss, poison, gaining advantage but a the cost of self-damage.

Green- Forest tracker? This is where human can also shine? Perhaps something which work we'll with lateral thinking-type effects. Bows, with slow arrows, penetrating arrows, entangling roots, summoned trees!

Or...we look at getting two more different races...

Then it would be: elves are green, dwarves are red, and humans white, which leaves:

    Blue- gnomes
    Black - ninja bears.

Either way, I hope we get some poison to use with accelerate time ;)

Priests used to have poison, but it was changed to Curse Of Fragility. Some item names, like Poisoner's Harness, haven't been changed. I don't know whether this was a philosophical decision, or Bad Medicine was just considered unplayable.
If poison is reinstated, the post-battle description for map 1 of Dungeon of the Lizard Priest, "Only creatures as low as Lizardmen would use poison in open battle," should probably be edited.
Unless only lizardmen characters are allowed be rogues or assassins, of course.

Hm. I'm not sold on your interpretation of the MtG color pie, or the current CH content.

For one thing, priests are have a lot of MtG black: Demonic Power, life loss for card draw, is traditional, as are curses. That said, priests also have basically everything warriors have, so if you think warriors are red (really??????) then it sounds like priests cover three thirds of the color pie. One thing priests are much less good at than warriors is armor, which functions like the MtG absorb mechanic... so warriors are, in a way, more white than priests? Oh and priests also have Roots which is pretty blue.

Meanwhile wizards aren't that blue... at least, not the wizards people play. Now that 3DC is less popular most wizards are damage wizards, and all the damaging spells are solidly MtG red.

    ...

In other words, trying to map the 'color pie' of another game that has fundamentally different mechanics to CH is probably a fool's errand.

i just add my edition :

    classes :

for wizard you can build almost sub-class as a necromancer like : reanimate spell and things like that, that were played in the leagues.

-Paladin : i would like to see maybe a paladin even though that priest is very much like palading maybe it could be change...
    - monk : can be nice addition to, fist + frenzy spells could cought the imagination.
    - Ranger : that could be compatible with elfs, for example : +1 damage with ranged\bow weapons.

    Races :

in races used to be some nice figures to win in leagues but today you cant get them, espcially for new players that started to play the game for only a month or so.

you could win slims, drow-elf and gary melvin and karen (as humans), maybe drow-elfs with +1 to damage spells or gnomes that illusion barriers\smoke screen that could be last one more round...

there is a lot to add i think...
