On dice and pizza (to the devs)

Just be careful when accusing a game of "pay2win", because that means you are saying that the people that pay have a distinct and set advantage over those that don't, so you might as well not play unless you pay unless you enjoy losing all the time. It's a fine line for a developer (that want to make a game that is fun, and not just a cash cow at the expense of fun) to tred, because they want there to be a definite incentive for those that are willing to pay for content in their game without ostrasizing those that cannot (or for whatever reason, will not) pay anything, because they need as many as both types of players in their game for it to be successful, unless all they care about is money, then they can throw as many "for pay" advantages as they can put into their game, knowing that only those with big wallets and fragile egos will enjoy their game.

That said, for the record, everything I've seen about this game and BM themselves points to me to the fact that they are looking to make a cool and fun game for EVERYONE to play, and I'm pretty sure they do not want to end up with a product that can justifiably be described as a "pay2win" game.

Yup, there's no indication at all BM is after the p2w market, they're rather going out of their way for the opposite - the talent system makes high end gear useless in sp et c.

Aye. I really enjoy PvP, and if there's a PvP side to a game, I'll be playing it. League of Legends (other moba games) has its issues, mainly community, but the PvP model is priceless. There's something reassuring and comforting to know that if you lost, you lost due to skill, and you can't ever question that you lost because of anything they could pay for. I hope the pay features in this game really do make a minimal impact on long term PvP, because I only intend to win fairly. Nothing worse than someone making an excuse when you beat them.

While I'm here, somewhat off topic...is there, or will there be other dice rolls in this game, other than using a D6?
