Riptide, is it a superior weapon for pvp?

Riptide

It is a fixed quest reward for Attack of the Artifact expansion
Here is my opinion

pro:
1. one major token and a minor token required
2. good combination of disabling shield and armor plus bash

con:
1. not excellent damage cards
2. Impetuous slash often damages team members

Is Riptide a viable weapon for pvp?
or is it a mid-tier weapon or a bad one?

good for leagues imo...i wud say mid-tier for pvp unless u ve AoA

u will lose all ur AoA in the beginning of the round. I ve tried it once

 

Too low dmg... i don't like melee atacks without dmg or step atacks.

 

I run it in Triple Duel leagues. My win rate in Triple Duel leagues is something like 95%.

 

It's great in triple duel. Kill their blocks, their armor, and steal the victory squares all in one package!

Outside of triple duel, there are typically better options.

Yeah, what others said, it's good for Triple Duel and I run it also in Chess Madness. We'll see if EttSC will change my approach to these leagues.

I doubt that. Or at least I doubt that is has to do something with the riptide, since more than half of the people run riptide in the tripde duel.

 

I enjoy sitting next to Flak while he plays Card Hunter.

Flak: "Oh wow, I am getting destroyed... Two of my characters have died... My opponent has 12 more victory points than me... My opponent is a god of weather sending lightning storms at us to melt our router into slag."

Five minutes pass.

Me: "So you won, right?"

Flak: "...Yeah."

 

You're right, it has more to do with my other secret tech, but still, Riptide is part of my machine.

 

But both other items are also very important. Although I am not sure it will do its job anymore. It could happen, that a lot of Cushioning Armors will show up. I am looking forward for the next triple duel.
