so I started playing this game just because its free to pwn, but what the heck? The graphics are so bad. cardboard stuff, really? Could stuff at least be i dont know, not cardboard like in 3D or something? This reminds me of some 1981 board game or something in 2015 lol.
:scratches head: When you brought this up in chat, we were pretty clear in noting that games from the 80s were a BIT less sophisticated, and that modern board games are comparable in look.. I'm not sure why you thought it worth bringing up again, but okay
They don't? Just give it time. PS. And now if you'll excuse me, I need to invent a real world rodeo/hockey hybrid involving fluffy pants and nerd-level tactical play.
Nothing wrong with old-school graphics and flavour. Especially when the game kicks-ass, and costs you nothing.
I play hockey, and would say I still use a lot of tactics when I play it as well, as a defender I look to limit the other team to low percentage or wide angle shots, also picking your points to either poke check the puck off a stick or pinch in on a play to keep the puck in the offensive zone can be very tactical.
OP is right, this game would be a lot better if they would use the Unreal4 engine and if you could enter your chars into fps mode and do some real carnage without the annoying restrictions of dice rolls and such.
Most of the northern-central US, apparently, as well; Aside from people I actually know up there who've said as much, Dave Willis bases his Dumbing of Age comic up in that region, and when hockey got mentioned (and mocked as not being american football by a poster), there were pages of people insisting hockey was notably popular up there. There'd still be people who wouldn't understand how line of sight works.
