[Suggestion] Cold Damage Arcane Skill

No falling down bottomless pit is the worst... but slipping on ice down a bottomless pit is the worstiest.

 

Maybe a Lancing Strike: linear, range 3, damage 2, penetrating. Or make it a Lazer Lance and add minor erratic damage, but only a base of 1.

 

So we'll have to repeat the requests for Ice Storm loudly and often.
I also want Claymores (not the swords, the mines). Thats actually a cone effect, so it should be okay. Right?

 

Can I get the sword? A giant Scottish Claymore as tall as a man.

 

Speaking of the Grinch, has anyone seen the loot Grinch?

Call me crazy, but I don't have a problem with burst. And, not because I have dominated with it or something. I it makes a lot of sense thematically. I think the issue was 6x burst on one staff. (though i don't mind this either, I like consistency) Though the more I think about it (this is a going to be a much more bold statement then i typically like to make via forum) the more I agree with @Bandreus here in so much as balance should be at the card level. And that balance being card based means any card can be made and given the appropriate rating and rarity. So a 6x Fireball staff, or a 6x Mighty Hack weapon are all okay because they will be appropriately (token) costly to play.

 

i like more fun ideas, like 'snowball to the face!' opponent gets hit in the face, can't attack that turn. or what about 'you'll shoot your eye out!' puts this card in opponent's deck, their next attack backfires and damages them instead. and finally... yellow snow. puts a patch of yellow-colored snow on the ground. i can't think of what that might do, maybe someone will come up with a good idea

 

Yellow snow acts as an anti-VP, taking one VP off the player's tally, unless they have none. Because of the embarrassment of realising they're standing on a patch of yellow snow.

 

What about a gold token ice buff that makes the enemy more susceptible to slashing or piercing attacks? It will be crazy powerful, so only one on the item and paired with an appropriate debuff.
