my internet shuts down 1 hour before mid-night and re-opens at 4am so i can triple dip i guess :( - or am i misunderstanding the instructions?

It depends what time "mid-night" is for you, but if you mean that it shuts down 1 hour before the reset, and re-opens 5 hours later, then I'd say that you cannot (easily*) triple dip. The reset is completely independent on when your internet shuts down.

Here's my explanation for how triple dipping works, just building on what Kalin said. The gist is that to triple dip, you need to play the module with the fairy / bandit 3 times before they move. The fairy and bandit move every 25 hours, and there is no way to delay them or block them from moving or anything like that. So you need to play the module 3 times within 25 hours. The difficulty is that each time you play a module, it becomes locked. An 'unlock' event happens once every 24 hours. But, the unlock can be delayed, because the unlock only happens when you log out. To triple dip, you need 2 module unlock events before the fairy moves. You can 'bank' one unlock event by staying logged in after the unlock happens. And if you time your games correctly, the second unlock will happen before the fairy moves again.

So here's what you need to do (just as Kalin said):
    • Log in before an unlock event - and stay logged in until the fairy moves (this could be 1 min, or 10 hours, or however long it takes).
    • Play the fairy and bandit modules. (That's the first dip.)
    • Log out, and immediately log back in again. (This will trigger the unlock event.)
    • Play the modules again. (Second dip.)
    • Log out, and wait for the next unlock event.
    • Log in again, and play. (Third dip.)
Note that if your first game is immediately after the fairy moves, then the next unlock will be before the next move - because the fairy moves every 25 hours, and the unlock happens every 24 hours.

I hope that makes it clear to everyone.

(I personally don't double-dip or triple-dip most of the time because I don't like haven't to plan when I play games. I prefer to just play whenever I feel like it. My overarching recommendation is to only play if it's fun. Don't let gaming become a chore that you have to schedule!)

i get kicked out for "not doing anything for 10 mins" and it kicks me to the title screen and then i cant log-in - is there a place i can go to stop this from happening?

Did you play all the treasure hunts and the AotA adventures? The bandit can be at one of those even if you haven't purchased them.

All before it moved? There was only a 4 hour window between the reset and the move for the day in question. With 53 adventures that's only 4.5 minutes per an adventure.

If you meant after, and if you did indeed play all the adventures including the treasure hunts after the move, then I suspect what happened is that you at least played the previous Loot Fairy adventure before the move to take advantage of it, which would mean that when the LF left, the Bandit took her place in the only adventure you had exhausted prior to the move.

Today I finished the previous loot fair module (Secret of the Gnomes) a couple of seconds after the move - and I missed the bonus because of it. I know it was only seconds, because I had the loot fairy tracker open. The worst part is that I would have had easily enough time except that the game discounted 4 times in the final mission for some reason.

Anyway, what I've learnt from that is that is that you have to finish the mission before the fairy and bandits move, otherwise you miss out.

The deciding moment is when the player clicks the "Collect Loot" button after winning the last battle of the adventure. The game server calculates and sends the loot item IDs to her PC at that exact time. If Looty or Bandy had already moved before the button click, she missed her chance.

On the other hand, she could utilize this property of the game and win the last adventure beforehand and leave the game running and click the button only after the adventure reset time if she wanted to triple dip or potentially nab Looty one second after the move or for other such tricksy shenanigans.

Found it for the first time in Slub'Gut's (those apostrophes look wrong) Sanctum. I almost wish I wasn't saving my money, so I could be happy that I had any money instead of being slightly happy that I have more money.

Grinding my way up to current quests, trying to get some equipment to get me over the Lv 15 hump.
Found the bandit in Ruby Demon Portal, picked up just shy of 300 gold from treasures.
Never had the bandit before and I've been playing the game for about 6 weeks solid.
