Could it be that part of the random movement is a chance not to move hence making it even more random? The random part ruins the spell for me regardless its way too unimpressive when uncontrollable.
Or is it possible for something like the following to occur: 1) Move North 2) Move South Net result - no move.
It moved one square? The intention is that it moves up to two squares, but not zero (unless there are no legal destinations).
Pictures in the 1st post show that maze targetted at the center kobold moved it only 1 square diagonally. Have used maze pretty often and NOT encountered two squares.
I think its this, i've seen it move them 2 spaces and sometimes 1, i think its just the direction they take, move up, move left, looks like one space.
I thought that too, but the adjacent square is blocked terrain, so the actual move was only one square. My guess is that it tried to move into one of the blocked squares, failed, and still counted that as a square moved.
