Card Hunter Wiki - Cardhuntria

The wiki has seemed clearly slower for the last week or so. Was the server dropped to lower category to save on costs or something?

 

Idk.. I'm using it every day and it has always been slow
And my internet connection is very fast.

 

It's never been fast but to me it's noticeably slower lately. My Internet connection is 100 Mb/s.

 

Nope, mainly changes to templates to cater for the new expansion. Its a huge changelog but for starters, I've added in new categories for the Basic set, fixed adv unlocks etc. Wiki bandwidth takes a hit when populating new categories and stuff, reason why everything is done in short phases. Apologies for the slowness.

The wiki has been very helpful. If you are having trouble covering the bandwidth or server costs, you could add a Paypal link so people can donate money to help support your efforts. I'm not sure of the size of the CH community but I'd chip in a few bucks.

 

Thanks for the speed variation explanation, Phaselock! It's no problem, I was just wondering whether something was up. Glad to hear it's innocuous (and necessary). I'd also chip in to help defray the server costs if the opportunity was there.

Thanks. fyi: our general rule of thumb for advs and decklists is to populate the wiki approx 1 mth after in-game release. Its not a hard rule, its meant to allow for the new content to stabilize and to encourage players to discover the content for themselves instead of relying on the wiki as a walkthrough. Items and cards on the other hand are not subjected to the same rule. Hope it helps.

Updated the Extreme Builds section to account for the newer items (a few changes here and there). I'm not overly familiar with the new cards enough to know which ones may be of interest yet, so if there are any burning requests, let me know.
