I've got a Windows 8 hybrid laptop that I always play Card Hunter on, and it would be perfect to play in full tablet mode. It's a turn based game so it's almost perfectly suited to it, except for the fact it uses hovering over cards as part of it's UI, which you can't do - you either select it or you don't. I would absolutely love a touch mode. Select it in the options, and then have the controls go from 'hover to see, click to use', to 'touch to see, touch again to use' (or touch elsewhere to cancel). You' maybe also need to throw something in to deal with right clicks, as on mine the 'long press' which is right click everywhere else, brings up the 'About Adobe Flash Player...' dialog. Maybe a 'enlarge card' button could appear near the bottom right where the 'done' button appears when you're in the 'see' mode that displays the UI overlay (where you can attack / move). Then you touch there to display the card large (equivalent of right clicking), or touch the card again to use it. I'm sure there are other ways it could be implemented, so I'll just finish by saying PLEEEASSSE! Also apologies if this has been posted before, I did a search for 'touch' and got nothing that wasn't about the invigorating kind...
There's been plenty of suggestions and threads about this - I believe you'd find more under "tablets" and such. Been some work done, but last I heard it was still experimental - however the devs are interested in other platforms for the future. Hopefully we'll hear something about this soon.
Bumping an old thread.... I have a Dell Venue 11 Pro with keyboard but wanted to know if anything has happened with the experimental build since that post. Thanks for the update.
A Card Hunter conversion been announced for tablets (which I guess could possibly include a windows store app?) - nothing regarding touch controls for the web (or possible standalone) client at this point, as far as I've heard, sorry.
Such as life. I know that Flash has full API's for touch interfacing in web applications. With that said. I have the keyboard dock so I can still play just not as comfortably. 1st world problems I guess.
Unfortunately, the tablet version announcement is probably the death knell for this idea. Annoyingly, it doesn't help me at all - I don't have an android tablet or iPad, I've got a Windows laptop with touch screen that I can spin around for tablet-esque goodness. I very much doubt that there will be a Windows Store version - and even if there was, I wouldn't see the point of buying it after already having paid into this one (yeah, I went for the Treasure Hunts...) to play the same(ish) game on the same device but with slightly improved controls. As text is rubbish at conveying tone though - I'm not that bothered by it. As serverfill says, 1st World Problems. It would have been nice, but I'm perfectly happy playing with the little trackpad if need be. But BM, if you do see this - maybe don't throw all the 'touch mode' ideas out of the window? Convertibles are becoming more and more prevalent, and I sort of feel that the tablet version has solved a slightly different problem to the one people were actually raising. Keep up the good work and all though!
Hey I just want to line up in this. I too have a convertible (or a asus transformer book to be more specific). As others stated before: a touch mode would be a very nice addition to this game. Not a real "must have" but a "nice to have" nonetheless. Card Hunter was actually one of the main reasons why I choose the transformer book instead of a tablet or a notebook. Yeah that was it basically. Just wanted to add my support to this. *cuddles* Sisqui
not sure if it helps i just used Puffin browser for my Android tablet to play and it worked fully as a touchscreen. not sure if you can use it with a windows OS but you might want to look into it.
