I don't see enough info for devs to fix. A browser crash can be due to a whole bunch of stuff: memory, hardware acceleration, outdated hardware drivers, antivirus, corrupted harddisk, malware, maintenance by inept hosting providers, outdated cache etc... Generally, game developers don't stop producing content until there is a scheduled window for bugfixes. And even then, only the most urgent reproducible cases get high priority.
I think SLG was being ironic actually, meaning exactly what you said (considering the tone and the nature of the earlier post).
Well, if we can't reproduce the issue then it's really hard to troubleshoot it. Right now, we've got two(?) reports of this happening but we can't seem to see it on our end.
Yeah now you got another....... https://forums.cardhunter.com/threads/stuck-in-mauve-manticore-1.4652/ and I am sure there are many more only they are not active on the forum. Its just my 2 cents but don't start saying its people's computer cause that's always the obvious answer. I just try to help you guys don't shoot the messenger.
Not trying to shoot anybody here. But perhaps you should read the below article: http://blogs.adobe.com/dekesmith/20...gray-circle-with-an-exclamation-mark-or-bang/
I have a €2000 gaming computer (not saying its holy) and 32Gb mem. The article says it can also be programming what occurs it so........ And like I mentioned above am only trying to help.
In your first post you are talking about a bug that happens when you open the last chest. I don't know if you are the only one who has experienced this, but nobody else has ever mentioned this particular bug. For example that link you have there talks about something completely different. Sure Flash crashes sometimes, but that does not mean it's the same issue that you are having. You cannot just take any random bug posted on the forums and claim that they are having the same issue. I don't think you fully understand what "it's probably your system" means. It doesn't mean that your system and you suck, it only means that the problem most likely happens because of some specific software/hardware combination that you have on your system. Card Hunter never crashes when I open chests. To you it has apparently happened many times. Now why do you think that is? Does the game hate you? Are the devs playing a cruel joke on you? Or maybe.. just maybe it has something to do with your system? This is just common sense. It's of course helpful to post bugs here so that the devs can fix them, but there's not much they can do if you are the only person on the planet that this is happening to, and are unwilling to help eliminate variables by doing things like trying it out with a different browser. Simply repeating "It's not my system, fix it" over and over again, won't help much.
- Original message redacted. Edit: No need to get personal, or insulting. Let's stay away from that - if you believe there is an issue, you have to be prepared that others don't agree. The devs have checked it out, and can't see anything based on the information supplied. If you find any additional information for the devs to check out, please do add it - they want to solve as many issues as they can. - Pengw1n
Since we seem to have several issues reported here, let me see if I can summarize them all: 1) Sometimes the game (or Flash?) crashes. Sometimes it's when looting the last chest, sometimes not. We haven't been able to reproduce this on a roughly-matching system (w7 64-bit, IE11, Flash 11.9). There are a few possibilities, the most likely of which would be related to intermittent localized connectivity issues between the Flash client and the server: Getting disconnected at the time the chest is opened is causing some other problem that's crashing the game. An error is occurring when the game is trying to download new assets for the loot in the chest that you haven't seen during the session, which is triggering the crash. Something else is happening to cause the crash, but we don't have enough information to even guess at it. 2) Sometimes Flash stops working (Firefox, Windows 7). 3) Auto-target is turned back on after a crash/disconnect. This sounds like the browser not saving the option when you toggle it. It's possible we're silently ignoring the error from the browser when it's complaining that saving the option is prevented by browser privacy settings, instead of reporting that the options couldn't be saved. 4) Flash GCOD from another thread (i.e. Flash/browser ran out of memory).
I'm getting Flash Crashes (not GCOD) when trying to return to the map before an adventure is completed. It happens in both Firefox and Chrome. It may happen three times in a half hour or it may not happen for an hour or two. It could be a CH or a system compatability problem, but I mostly suspect Flash. I've developed a very low opinion of the bloated and inefficient Adobe programs I've had to use over the past 20 years, which is why I avoided all Flash games until this one. (You made it too damned interesting, and I got hooked and spoiled my record. ) It uses Flashplayer. I expect it to crash fairly often. If it keeps recurring I'll try to dig up and post an error log, or something that might actually prove helpful.
for me is 2) Sometimes Flash stops working (Firefox, Windows 7). Pops a message box saying flash stop working, and if i want try continue or stop plug in. if i press continue...nothing happens for about 1 min and sae error appears..if i press stop, then jus tneed refresh the page and its working but im out of the game already
